We use the MAC address of the unit which can be found on the underside of the phone. The number begins "0008". If the device is operational then the MAC address is also on the "System Information" tab of the web interface of the device.
The serial number on Linksys analogue adaptors and phones is on a sticker on the underside. The number begins "8801" or "F". If the device is operational then the serial number is also on the "Info" tab of the web interface of the device.
The serial number we use is the same as the MAC address. This is printed on a sticker on the underside of the phone or can be seen on the screen by pressing the question mark button. This number always begins "000413"
The serial number on Gigaset phones is only printed on the original packaging for the phone. You should make a note of this number before disposing the box.
